Spreading Hope: Isaac Ajisafe Foundation Empowers 50 Widows with Cash, Food Support (2026 Edition)
The Isaac Ajisafe Foundation has empowered 50 widows with financial and food assistance during its 2026 annual widow empowerment programme, organised as part of activities marking the birthday of its convener, Mr. Isaac Ajisafe.
Each beneficiary received ₦60,000 in cash alongside a rice to help relieve the effects of the current economic challenges. The initiative is part of the foundation’s commitment to supporting vulnerable women and strengthening their families.
Speaking at the event, Ajisafe explained that his passion for supporting widows began over 15 years ago before he formally established the foundation about five years ago. He noted that his childhood experience inspired his dedication to the cause.
According to him, witnessing his mother struggle to raise five children after the loss of her husband shaped his resolve to make a difference in the lives of widows whenever he had the opportunity.
He added that the foundation collaborates with community and religious leaders to identify genuine beneficiaries each year, ensuring transparency and fairness in the selection process. He stressed that the goal of the programme is not only to provide relief but also to restore dignity and inspire hope among widows.
The convener’s mother, Mrs. Florence Ajisafe, also addressed the beneficiaries, encouraging them to remain resilient and prioritise their children’s education and welfare despite the challenges they face.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the foundation for the support. Mrs. Fisayo Ajiboye thanked the convener and prayed for greater blessings upon him, while Mrs. Modupe Olabisi described the assistance as timely and impactful.
Similarly, Mrs. Grace Adedayo commended the foundation for remembering widows in their time of need. The programme began with an opening prayer and concluded with collective prayers for the convener and the continued success of the initiative.
