Expert blames absence of innovation for business failures

A business and leadership consultant, Isaac Ajisafe has said the policies being implemented by the federal Government do not prevent businesses from thriving, but rather the entrepreneurs’ negligence to innovation, structure and positive mindset.
Ajisafe noted that the impact of regulatory and monetary measures by institutions such as the Central Bank of Nigeria on business in Nigeria does not amount to external constraints, maintaining that policies exist in every economy and should not be seen as barriers to enterprise.

Ado-Ekiti — A Business and Leadership Consultant, Isaac Ajisafe, has urged entrepreneurs in Ekiti State and across Nigeria to stop blaming the government and other external factors for their business challenges and instead take personal responsibility for the outcomes of their ventures.
Ajisafe made the call at the weekend in Ado-Ekiti while convening the 2026 edition of the Mindshift Conference (TMC), themed “Ownership: Dominate Your Outcomes.”
Speaking with journalists at the event, he said the conference was designed to empower participants to take control of their destinies and businesses rather than shifting blame to the government or the state of the economy.
According to him, taking responsibility enables entrepreneurs to make independent decisions and determine the direction of their future without compromise.
“I am glad the purpose of the conference has been fulfilled. The aim is to show people what they can do so they can stop blaming the government, relatives or circumstances and begin to take ownership of their journey, destiny and business,” Ajisafe said. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2026/03/expert-urges-entrepreneurs-to-take-responsibility-for-business-success/
EGS 2026 Challenges Nigerian Entrepreneurs to Fix Their Mindset, Not Blame the Economy

At a time when many Nigerians blame inflation, government policies, and harsh economic conditions for business failure, the Entrepreneurial Growth Summit (EGS) 2026 has urged entrepreneurs to look inward, stressing that mindset, not Nigeria, is the real determinant of business success.
Under the theme “BUILDING THE PERSON WHO BUILDS THE BUSINESS” with the motto “Build, Execute, Win,” the event brought together entrepreneurs and professionals.
The Convener of the program, Isaac Ajisafe, a business and leadership consultant, author, speaker, and founder of SBS Business Stones, anchored the discussion on mindset mastery as the foundation for surviving and thriving in Nigeria’s business environment.
Ajisafe told participants that while access to capital and customers is important, many Nigerian businesses fail because their owners are mentally unprepared for growth, pressure, and long-term execution. He said investors are unwilling to support ideas that lack structure, clarity, and strategic thinking.
According to him, mindset mastery is a form of mental leadership that requires entrepreneurs to take responsibility for their thoughts and deliberately eliminate beliefs that limit execution. He warned that many businesses collapse mentally long before they fail physically. https://roundoffnews.com/egs-2026-challenges-nigerian-entrepreneurs-to-fix-their-mindset-not-blame-the-economy/

Business Expert, Ajisafe blames Entrepreneurs’ lack of innovation for business failures in Nigeria
A Business and leadership consultant, Isaac Ajisafe has said the policies being implemented by the Federal Government of Nigeria do not prevent businesses from thriving, but rather the Entrepreneurs’ negligence to innovation, structure and positive mindset.
Ajisafe noted that the impact of regulatory and monetary measures by institutions such as the Central Bank of Nigeria on business in Nigeria does not amount to external constraints, maintaining that policies exist in every economy and should not be seen as barriers to enterprise.
Ajisafe emphasised that entrepreneurship thrives on initiative, structure and principles, arguing that what many describe as a ‘dry environment’, is often a reflection of lack of ideas and strategic planning rather than actual economic limitations.
He said the summit was designed as a 90-day mentorship initiative, combining physical sessions with online engagement to guide participants on how to develop businesses from the ground up using practical and tested principles.
Ajisafe urged the participants and entrepreneurs in the state to adopt a broader outlook, by thinking globally, maintaining that businesses in Ekiti must maintain standards that can attract clients beyond the state.
His words, “The truth of the matter is this, there is no where in the world where there are no policies. As a matter of fact, if you are thinking that one policy will cripple your business, it will eventually cripple the business. https://newstodayng.com/2026/02/17/business-expert-ajisafe-blames-entrepreneurs-lack-of-innovation-for-business-failures-in-nigeria/

Ajisafe Challenges Entrepreneurs to Rethink Strategy, Says Mindset Not Policy Is Nigeria’s Real Business Hurdle
Ajisafe argued that while economic reforms and regulatory adjustments may create temporary discomfort, they do not in themselves shut down opportunity. According to him, policies are a constant feature of every functioning economy, and successful entrepreneurs learn to innovate within them rather than retreat because of them.
He spoke on Tuesday in Ado Ekiti at the inaugural edition of the Entrepreneurial Growth Summit 2026, a business training and mentorship programme he convened for participants drawn from across the country. The summit, he explained, was conceived as a corrective intervention to address what he described as structural and strategic gaps in the way many Nigerians approach business.
The consultant maintained that institutions such as the Central Bank of Nigeria implement monetary and regulatory measures to stabilize the broader economy, not to suffocate enterprise. He said interpreting every policy shift as an existential threat reflects a lack of long term planning and adaptability. https://beyondnewsng.com/ajisafe-challenges-entrepreneurs-to-rethink-strategy-says-mindset-not-policy-is-nigerias-real-business-hurdle/
Isaac Ajisafe Foundation Disburses ₦3m, Food Items to 50 Widows in Ekiti
The empowerment programme, which has become a yearly intervention, provided each beneficiary with financial support to start or stabilise small scale businesses, reflecting the Foundation’s commitment to moving widows from dependency to economic participation.
Organisers of the event explained that the gesture was not merely charitable but structured to give the women a sustainable means of livelihood that would enable them cater for their families with dignity.
Addressing participants at the event, Mr Ajisafe said the initiative was inspired by personal experience, recalling the hardship his mother Mrs Florence Ajisafe endured after losing her husband and being left to raise five children alone.
He noted that witnessing those struggles shaped his resolve to support widows who often face economic exclusion and social vulnerability, stressing that the Foundation’s intervention was aimed at easing their burden and restoring hope.
He added that beyond the financial grants, the Foundation remains focused on long term support for widows and orphans through mentorship and periodic welfare packages, explaining that the birthday outreach was conceived as a way of giving back to society rather than hosting elaborate celebrations. According to him, true fulfilment lies in touching lives and creating opportunities for those who might otherwise be overlooked. https://beyondnewsng.com/isaac-ajisafe-foundation-disburses-%e2%82%a63m-food-items-to-50-widows-in-ekiti/
